Chairman and CEO, Philip Blumberg, accompanied by senior executives of the US based agribusiness company, will also be evaluating opportunities in India for partnering with Indian companies as well as investing in food processing, manufacturing, and opportunities to establish food security operations in India to reduce post harvest losses, currently estimated at over 50%, to under 5% utilizing Blumberg Grain's state of the art technology and storage systems.

Miami-based warehousing storage solutions provider, Blumberg Grain, is foraying in the Indian market with its crop storage and supply chain solutions. The company is proposing to set up a manufacturing facility for the fabrication of its warehousing systems, for which it is exploring locations in Punjab and Gujarat among other states.

NEW DELHI: U.S.-based food storage technology provider Blumberg Grain is planning to enter the Indian market by investing about $250 million over next five years for setting up plant to manufacture components for scientific warehouses.

The Barren County Fiscal Court has formalized an agreement with Blumberg Grain and Logistics to design and build grain storage facilities to serve the county's farming community. The initiative addresses a longstanding challenge: limited local storage capacity combined with surging transport expenses has eroded farm profitability.

Blumberg Grain wants to invest in Dothan, much like the Blumberg family has for years, and the recent tax reform bill may help him accomplish the goal.
